Kelly Gifford Children's Ministry Director Ministry Application ProcedureThe following procedures have been adopted and will be strictly enforced to provide as safe and secure an environment as possible for our ministry participants, and to minimize the ministry’s and workers’ vulnerability to unwarranted accusation. - The applicant will read and agree with the Application Procedure, Qualifications, and Requirements.
- Prior to consideration for a position, any candidate who may be working with children will complete an initial ministry application on JEFC web site.
- Complete Personal Profile in the JEFC On-line Community including Faith Story, Spiritual Gifts, Passions and Abilities.
- The ministry application will be carefully reviewed by a ministry leader or designee to make certain that the worker will be appropriate for the ministry position, based on the information provided. The review may include checking references and a criminal background check.
- The candidate will receive a follow-up response. Any information indicating that a candidate poses a threat to others or has any prior history of physical or sexual abuse directed against another person will result in the immediate removal of the individual candidate from consideration for a ministry position with this church.
- If accepted the applicant will review the "Children's Ministry Policies and Guidelines," get a photo ID, be matched to a ministry and equipped to serve.

QualificationsQualifications for all Children's Ministry workers: Christians who are in places of responsibility in the church are required to be examples in faith, conduct, and business affairs. One of the best ways to present Christ to the people of our community is by maintaining a high standard for workers. The following guidelines will be required of any person who works in children's ministries at JEFC. Requirements Must be in agreement with the Statement of Faith of JEFC. (see "What We Believe" under About Us) Must be able to make a minimum three-month commitment. Must complete the Application for Volunteer Ministry. Must be loyal to the Pastor and leaders of JEFC. Must be faithful to your assigned position. Must live a separated Christian life. Must attend all workers' meetings and workshops. Must be faithful to attend regular church services. Must give at least three days notice if you know you will be absent. Must be at your designated post a minimum of fifteen minutes before starting time. Must be neat in your appearance. Must complete appropriate workers' training course(s) required in your area of ministry. Must have your home life in order. Must give thirty days notice when resigning your position.
