Senior High Programs

Overtime:

Every year JEFC Student Ministries host four events called Overtime (OT) that take place after select home games of Johnston School football games.  It is our goal for students to hang out at our church, eat pizza, drink pop, devour cookies, play games, and listen to music.  

We want this to be a time when the students can feel free to invite their friends to an event that will not be churchy.  This is a great time for students and friends to hang out in an easy-going environment.  We will be continuing our door prizes and there will be no cost for students.

X-PERIENCE:

Senior High Sunday morning growth group 9:30-10:30 AM at the church

X-Treme Zone:

This night of games, music, and truth has been intentionally designed to give Senior High students a place to flee from the chaotic whirlwinds of deadlines, demands, and decisions. Here students will discover, revitalize, and supercharge their lives as they collide with the truth about themselves, the world, and the One who created it all.

Meets every Sunday at 6:30-8 PM

N-Gage (Small Groups):

The purpose of these groups is to provide high school students with an opportunity to grow deeper in their relationship with God in the midst of a small community of believers.  These groups will meet in homes, twice a month on Wednesday nights.  The students will be led by a team made up of an adult and a student as they go through different books of the Bible.  Each meeting will include a time to pray and study (and something to snack on besides the Word)!  It is our prayer that this will provide another opportunity for our students to be transformed into “Generation X-Treme!”

Ministry Training (N-Tense & M-Pact):

If a man was starving, wouldn’t you feed him so that he could concentrate to hear the Gospel explained? And if he spoke French, wouldn’t you find a translator?  As followers of Christ we are the translators, the lights, and the connection to Jesus. I would like to challenge every student to be a part of these two ministry groups. The N-Tense (11-12 graders) and M-Pact (9-10 graders) groups will shape both your faith and ministry skills. These skills are needed as you are shining as lights in a dark world. M-Pact meets the 1st and 3rd Sundays and N-Tense meets the 2nd and 4th Sundays from 10:45 am to noon for nine months. Please note, this is the training required for each student planning to participate in a mission trip with our church this next year.
