Our services include a time of contemporary/blended music from artists such as Chris Tomlin, Lincoln Brewster, Paul Baloche, Hillsong, and others including some favorite hymns. Multiple Worship Teams lead these times of both reflective and upbeat worship. Instrumentation normally includes a vocal team, piano/keyboard, acoustic, electric, and bass guitar, and drums. Words are displayed on two large video screens on either side of the stage. We recognize the challenge of planning a service that will engage worshippers of all ages, and pray that those who come will do so with a heart that recognizes that the songs we sing are merely a vehicle to communicate our love and gratefulness to God for the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ and the salvation that comes only through Him.
JEFC also has a strong commitment to the preaching of God’s Word, the Bible. Pastor Kent Wagner, our Senior Pastor, or one of our other pastors or guest preachers present biblical messages that not only help you understand the Bible, but also illustrate how you can apply God’s transforming Word to your life today.
The Lord’s Supper (Communion) is observed the first Sunday of each month and at other special/seasonal occasions. Anyone who has committed their life to God through Christ is welcome to join us in this celebration of Christ’s sacrifice on our behalf.
Dress for the worship services at JEFC is flexible. Any given Sunday you may see men in suits and women in dresses worshipping right beside those in jeans and flip-flops, though most adults in the congregation tends to lean toward casual dress clothes.
Children’s Worship is offered for those ages 3 – kindergarten typically following the time of music prior to the message. A special message will be shown on the video screens indicating when it is time to escort your children out of the Worship Center to the Children’s Worship gathering area. Following the service, parents will pick up their children at the Children’s Worship room. Nursery is available for all Sunday morning activities – Worship services, Children’s Sunday School (T3), and Adult Training Modules (ATM).
